Mukasash makes Mango Kulfi

Kids were quite bored, and I decided to make something that would get them excited!  There were some mangoes at home, why not Mango Ice cream, I thought.  Browsed through a few recipes, and it didn’t seem as easy as it sounded.  Some wanted whipped cream, some wanted a motorized whisker.  So looked further and spotted a relatively easy recipe for Mango Kulfi by Rimli Dey.  Simple ingredients and the process was easy too.  Decided to do that.
All we needed was mangoes, fresh cream, condensed milk, and milk powder.  This is how I tried this.

Rich and creamy, absolutely tasty, kids loved it ! However, it took too long to freeze and even after leaving it overnight in the freezer, it took seconds to melt after removing from the mold.  We ate it quite quickly since it wasn’t frozen hard.
Anyway, something different for the kids during the lockdown days to beat the heat during Summer with Mango Kulfi !
If you’d like to see what else I have been trying out, check out my cooking experiments during lockdown.  I’ll see you again with another experiment in the kitchen, until then, taata ! 🙂

Just wanted to add, after two days of refrigeration, I was pleasantly surprised to see the Kulfi frozen rock hard, exactly how it should be!  Loved this one!  <3
