Pause Bar & Kitchen, Perungudi

When my friend told me that a restobar opened in OMR Food Street Kandanchavadi, I was quite skeptical thinking it must be a small hole-in-the-wall kinda place. When we entered, I was plesantly surprised to see an awesome happening large place. Pause, Bar & Kitchen looked nothing less than some nice places I’ve visited in Bengaluru. Being a Friday night, the place was quite packed with young crowd and party vibes. A friend and I were joining another friend who was already there for sometime.

Opted for the ‘Offer’ – 5 British Empire Pints plus 1 veg and 1 non-veg side dish for 999. Sounded good!
Beer was served chilled, no review for the beer 🙂 Coming to the food, Seppankizhangu Fry as a side-dish for beer? Not many places have it on the menu as far as I know. It was absolutely lipsmacking! In fact one of my friends loved this dish here and definitely wanted me to try. I was glad I did.
Hariyali Chicken was good, but less in portion-size.
While we repeated the beer offer a few times, we stuck to Seppankizhangu Fry and ordered Achari Chicken the next round. That tasted good too.
The DJ was spinning foot-tapping numbers and needless to say, quite a few of them were dancing.
The smoking zone had a good exhaust system and was overlooking the other eateries in OMR Food Street.
I am not sure of any rules or restrictions, at least when we entered, there wasn’t any! We paid a little more than 4K in all, that’s including what my friend had before we joined him.
Overall, I loved the place and would gladly recommend it.
