Chennai Restaurant Reviews

Spoonbill

An ad-hoc dinner, absolutely unplanned.  We were four friends driving back home after a visit to the Trade fair at Island grounds.  On the way back, we decided to have dinner while we were driving on the T.T.K Road.  The next immediate restaurant was Spoonbill and we stopped to have dinner.

I have been here a couple of times.  I love the food here, and this time it was no different.  My friends ordered Chicken Hakka noodles and Veg Hakka Noodles.  I ordered Vada Pav and a black Coffee.  We paid at the counter, got the receipt and I was showing my friends the password for the free wi-fi and explaining the advantages of the pager system that the restaurant has.  Just like the unwritten rule in an IT organization, in spite of everything working fine, if there is a demo, something will fail 😀 ! The pager #8 was probably out of battery, it didn’t work 🙂 .  So had to resort to the normal mode of communication.

The food was tasty and the portions seem less, but it was filling.  Had  a good time and a nice dinner.  The vada pav was very tasty and it beat the Goli Vada pav by miles.  In fact, it would be unfair to compare them.  So in my quest of finding an authentic vada pav, I found a really good one today.
