Chennai Restaurant Reviews

Buhari Hotel

This review is for their Chrompet restaurant.   As we entered, we found the restaurant to be very spacious.  In fact, haven’t seen many restaurants as big as this.  The interiors were good and clean.

We ordered an egg biriyani, chicken kothu parotta, chichen 90 for lunch.  Asked for chicken 65 boneless, and the waiter said chicken 65 is with bone and chicken 90 is boneless 😛 whatever these numbers mean !  All the items were tasty.  Absolutely no complaints, if at all had to mention something, it is the brinjal gravy for biriyani.  It was a bit sour and not to my liking.  I would have preferred any chicken gravy that you get in other chettinad hotels to go with Biriyani.

In case of travelling to Chrompet or passing through, this would be one of our favorite places if we plan to eat non-vegetarian food.

This review is for their Ashok Nagar restaurant.
Finished some work and was travelling back home with my friend. We decided to have lunch and stepped into this restaurant.
Pleasant surprise ! A nice ambience, polite waiters welcoming you and reasonably crowded. I remember Buhari on Anna Salai many years back as a very ordinary restaurant and didnt expect it to be like this.
Food was tasty, Biriyanis had the traditional touch and flavor. They had a wide range of choices on the menu, but I preferred to go with the biriyanis that they are famous for.
I would definitely recommend this place and visit again !
