This is not quite worthy of being called a review as I barely sampled one standard offering from them. I’ve been seeing absolutely tempting pics of the bun that Pappa Roti serves, so was quite curious to see what the fad was all about !
I planned to have a their standard bun (sans any topping) with coffee, so looked in the menu and spotted that they had quite a few variants of coffee – Americano, Regular Coffee, Expresso, Expresso Macchiato, etc. All of these combos were priced at 265 bucks, excluding taxes, felt quite pricey !
It was a pay-in-advance mode, ordered an Expresso Macchiato with a Standard Bun. The bill was close to 300 bucks, 292 precisely!
It was served in less than 5 mins. It came exactly like how it looked in the pics, a bit smaller than what I had in mind though. A nice wonderul crusty texture outside. The first bite felt like magic 🙂 Such a soft bun, with a generous dose of butter on the bottom, it felt wonderful! Expresso Macchiato was good too. It didn’t take more than ten minutes for me to finish a small bun and the expresso.
There’s no denying that what they serve is super yummy, but then to pay 300 bucks for a bun and coffee is not my cup of tea! Once for the sake of tasting, it is done and dusted!
