This review is for their T-Nagar restaurant.
They serve good authentic South-Indian food. Everything is fine and tasty, but grossly over-priced. They make money in all possible ways 🙂 They charge separately for idly molaga podi (thats a powder mixed with oil and eaten with idly/dosa). Even these things can be overlooked, when you pay Rs 200 for breakfast, wouldnt you pay another Rs 10 or 15 more? Thats also ok.
Getting a table is a nightmare. You have to wait outside the restaurant, give your name and seats required to the guy at the door and he will call out when the table is free. Basically the reaction on people’s faces when their name is called is nothing short of winning a lottery.
As I said earlier, food was good, nothing worth complaining. However, because of the crowd, you are constantly under pressure to finish fast. The Waiters expect you to order quickly, eat quickly and get out quickly. In fact, if you choose to delay it a bit, the waiter will ask you if your bill can be brought. Slow-eaters will struggle, similarly with kids, it is not a good idea.
Verdict:
If you have a catch a train and you only have 30 minutes to reach and want to finish breakfast within that time, THIS IS THE PLACE ! You will reach the station ten minutes in advance. 🙂
