As my friend and I were driving back home, had a chance to visit one of the old places in Royapettah for dinner – Hotel Millath!
Immediately knew what I was going to order – A Chicken Tikka, 2 Parottas, 1 Egg Masala and 1 Plain Biryani!
As soon as the Chicken Tikka was served, realized it was the partially-done types, hanging on the skewers for hours, and once again into the Tandoor and was served with a sprinkle of chaat masala on it, along with onions and chutney! It was dry and chewy! Perhaps Chicken 65 would have been a better choice! The Fluoroscent mint chutney reminded me of adidas Running T-Shirts, didn’t touch it!
Parottas were good, Egg masala was pretty good though it was a tad darker than other places. The cut green chillies in it added to the punch, liked it. The plain Biryani was a bit oily, but nothing to complain, tasted good. The gravy for the biryani was awesome and so was the raita!
Paid 357 bucks in all, and except for the Chicken Tikka, there was nothing to complain.
Will I specifically go back? Probably not! There’s Zaitoon and Palm Jumeirah right next to it, will try them !
