Amazing start to the day with Gujarati breakfast – Khaman, Khandvi, Fafda with Chutney and Kadhi, pyaaz kachori, Poori Subzi, and Jalebi. It couldn’t be any better!
It’s almost an exact repeat of my last visit. Gujarati Mandal in Broadway serves these tasty stuff for breakfast. You can buy some of them in minimum quantity by weight, for example 100g of Dhokla and Fafda, 50g of Jalebi, and a few by pieces like 1 Pyaaz Kachori and so on.
All of them tasted very good. I may be a little biased to North-Indian food in general, as I love it.
Special mention – Khandvi was superb, The kadhi with Fafda was amazing, Jalebis hot and crispy! Rest were all good too.
You have to manage with basic seating (plastic stools), as the dining hall opens for lunch only. However we were allowed to sit in one of the tables inside. When more people started taking seats inside, the owner was visibly not happy as he had to get the place cleaned and get it ready for lunch. No complaints, that’s understandable.
Paid 155 bucks in all, and that’s absolutely worth it for such delicious food. I would certainly recommend this place.
