Give it a miss !
We were three friends, on our way back to Chennai, and were quite hungry as it was around 1:00PM. So we decided to stop at the next decent restaurant that comes our way.
There were a couple of small roadside restaurants, absolutely were uninviting. We spotted Hotel Milestonnez and it’s vegetarian restaurant was catchy and inviting. We were almost seated here when one of my friends wanted to have Egg Biriyani 🙂 So we decided to go to their Multi-Cuisine restaurant Emerald. First look, it was not as well-lit as their veg restaurant, but manageable. We ordered an egg biriyani, a fish biriyani, 2 rotis and a paneer manchurian gravy. It took quite long to get our order, but as we were chatting away, we didn’t mind the delay. The food arrived and we dived into it right away! My friend’s comment – The fish biriyani was ok, it was more like kuska + fish 65 pieces. Another friend had the egg biriyani and it was so oily that he had to leave some biriyani in the bowl. I had the roti and paneer manchurian. The gravy part of the manchurian was ok, the paneer was easily the closest substitute to rubber, very chewy and absolutely unimpressive !
After we finished, requested for the bill and it took them easily about 15-20 minutes for the bill. We had to go and ask them why it was getting delayed. The person at the counter had no clue of what was happening. He was probably new and learning. We had to help him get our bill, pay and get out.
We would look for better places and give this a miss next time !
