Akshaya Bhavan in Tiruvallur, one of our regular places for a morning breakfast enroute Tirupati, or Tiruttani. I have written about a previous visit here. This time, we were there for a temple visit in Tiruvallur, so we didn’t look any further and stepped in.
As we entered, immediately found that they seemed to have reorganized the tables. The exit to the childrens play area and restrooms was closed and now just one restroom each, for ladies and gents is available in the restaurant premises.
There is an AC-Dining available, but we chose the non-AC section. We ordered 2 Mini Tiffins, 2 Plates of Poori Masala, 1 Ghee Roast and 1 Idiyappam. Food was good and tasty, no complaints with anything that we ate, except that the poori was not puffed. You will know the importance of that when you dine with kids 😀 They were quite disappointed ! 🙂
Coffee was served in paper cups instead of a davara tumbler, not a fan of the wax-coated cups, at least not for dine-in.
Service was courteous, no complaints there!
We paid 455 bucks in all, for a pretty good breakfast. I would gladly stop here again for breakfast. I also spotted a few other places in the vicinity, perhaps I would try that too.
