Times Food & Nightlife Awards Chennai 2025, a memorable evening!

This post is meant to be a quick recap of how the evening looked like, through a recollection of pics.  As you may have realized, lately I haven’t been writing elaborate blogs and most or all of my reviews are being posted on my Facebook Page, this is just an attempt to keep this blog site active. 🙂

The stage was all set for a fabulous event to start!  When an event is being hosted in ITC Grand Chola, obviously the expectations are high, and they totally rocked it, I’d say.  Thanks to Yogita Uchil, for the invite to this event.

The evening started with socializing over cocktails and drinks.  Six prominent bars in Chennai had put up their counters here – Sunday’s, Radio Room, Khaas, Koox, The Residency, and Lower Deck by Park Elanza.   We tried a few cocktails before the awards distribution started.

Here’s how the cocktail evening took off!
Congee, from Radio Room.  Vokda, rice water, honey syrup, lime and red chilly.  Different and nice!

Purple Rain, from Sunday’s.  Gin, elderflower, blue pea and tonic. Refreshing!

Scotch & Amaretto Sour.  More familiar flavors from the scotch, liked it!

The Kothmir, from Khaas.  Tequila, Agave, spice, citrus, this was superb!

Whiskey Hiball, from Koox.  Whiskey, Orange Bitters, Lime juice, Triple sec and Ginger Ale.

Arabicca Expresso Rush, from Lower Deck by Park Elanza. The most beautiful looking drink of the evening. Gin with Vodka almond on vanilla syrup Expresso flavor.

The awards were handed out by film celebrities and the vibe was lovely! Happy faces gleaming with pride!  A testimony for work put in through the entire year, understandably people were thrilled!

About 20+ restaurants had put up their counters for dinner, and you were literally spoilt for choices. As the dinner area got busy, we chose to engage ourselves for some more time sipping on cocktails and then proceed to dinner.

Sampled some Palak Chaat and Aloo Chaat from Khaas, tasted good.

Woody Fashion from Radio Room.  Whiskey, homemade plum & rosemary syrup, bitters.

Classic Whiskey Sour from Lower Deck by Park Elanza. As always, Mr. Dependable!

Chameli Ki Sugand from Khaas.  Jasmine spirit, Gin, Blanco, Lemongrass cordial.

Clarity from Sunday’s.  Gin, celery, basil and tonic.  On a lighter note, certainly needed some clarity after all the cocktails. 🙂

Got to meet and greet quite a few cine celebrities – Actor Prem Kumar, Director Suresh Krishna, Director Vasanth, S. Ve. Shekar, Yee Gee Mahendran, and Actor Riyaz Khan.
.
Celebrity Chef Venkatesh Bhat, Chef Nikhil Nagpal, Executive Chef at ITC Grand Chola Chennai, Mr. Sam Paul of Paulsons group, Mr. Murali of Geetham, Mr. K. T. Srinivasa Raja of A2B, Mr. Noufal Narikkoli of Zaitoon, Mr. Aswin Thottupurath of Asian Katha, Chef Shri Bala, Mr. Ramkumar Rajendran of Pernod Ricard were some of the prominent names from the F&B industry! Also had the pleasure of meeting Doc Waz and Ashwin Rajagopal, food bloggers/influencers.

Finally ended with a light dinner and ice cream!

Overall, a fantastic evening that will remain in memory for some time! 🙂
