Hotel Sri Lakshmi Sagar on LB Road, is one of the nice places for a simple no-frills breakfast in Adayar! I’ve been here a few times and food has always been pretty good.
Today, myself and a friend had to attend a function and they said they were going to serve meals at 10AM :/ Since it was just 8:45AM, we decided to have breakfast in a restaurant and not wait until 10AM, immediately headed to this place.
My friend ordered Idly Vadai, I asked for Pongal and a Special Vadai. I was quite surprised to see Brinji at 9AM in the morning, just wanted to try. Ordered one of that 😀 and finally washed it down with Coffee, a mini coffee for my friend and a regular one for me.
The food was overall tasty, chutneys were very fresh and tasty, especially the red one. Special vadai could have been better, wasn’t hot. Brinji with long grained rice, rightly spiced, with Kurma and Raitha tasted good. Coffee was wonderful! 201 bucks in all, quite nominal for what we ate.
Remember from an earlier visit that they accept only cash, not sure if it has changed, I didnt ask, paid by cash.
