I’ve been to this place earlier and have written about it here. We were four friends and just wanted to catch up for dinner after a long time. We decided to try some place close-by. Since I have been here earlier, I suggested this place.
We settled down immediately and ordered a couple of starters and soups. Two of us were vegetarians, so we chose to order a chicken starter and go completely vegetarian for the main course. I had 1/2 tomato soup and liked it, my friends liked the sweet corn soup as well. The chilly paneer was better than chilly chicken. I sensed ‘that smell’ in Chilli Chicken which I presume is a result of not thawing it properly and it was a dampener. We slowly moved to main course. Ordered a few Butter Naans, Rotis and a couple of gravies – Palak Paneer and Karhai Vegetable. Then we realized we needed a little more gravy for our rotis and ordered Aloo-Gobi-Capsicum Masala and this was very tasty. Had to order a couple of rotis to finish off the remaining gravy. We were happy that it stopped there and didn’t indefinitely go on. 😉 Food was quite tasty and we did not have any complaints. In general, gravies were slightly less in salt and I thought that was better than having too much salt in them. Finished with a Lemon and salt Soda. Throughout, the service was pleasant.
Quite a few tables were taken at that time and this is quite a reasonable place for decent food in Madipakkam. If you are on a two-wheeler, you’re good to go. If you’re coming by car, you have to look for a parking in the by-lanes.
