This place has been on my list from the time they opened, long ago. Somehow, have never ventured beyond Courtallam Border Rahmath Kadai whenever we have been in T. Nagar. This time, a friend and I decided to try this place for dinner and I am glad we did. This place is located bang on Thirumalai Pillai Road, opposite to Vidyodaya school.
Around 9PM on a Sunday night, they were having a full house. We had to give our names and wait to be called. Since we were just two people, we were lucky to get a table in less than 10 minutes. It looked like bigger groups had a longer wait. They have a very limited menu, so we didn’t need much time to decide 🙂 One parotta each, followed by one Veechu Parotta each, followed one Egg Kothu Parotta and and one Cutting Chicken, to share between the two of us, one Masala Omelette for me and one Masala Kalakki for my friend.
The parotta was small in size, but straight from the tawa, crispy, flaky, and very good. It tasted heavenly with the naattukozhi Masala, which was in the consistency of Molaga Podi. Asked for more, loved it ! The salna on the table was very tasty too. Veechu Parotta was also yummy, very well made and piping hot. Egg Kothu parotta was exactly how I like it, and the raita complemented it very well! Cutting chicken was tasty with a nice aroma of coconut oil, but the portion was way too little. Omelette and Kalakki were good too.
Everything we ate was tasty, absolutely nothing to complain. My friend finished with a couple of more Parottas.
Paid 358 bucks for all this, including a water bottle, and it was absolutelt worth it!
I’d gladly recommend this place and come back next time I’m in T. Nagar.
