Meeting UG college-mates after quite a while. Saidapet is not a place which I frequently visit, but heard from a friend that one of our UG friends from college had opened a fast food place in Saidapet. It’s called Friends Hotel located on West Jones Road, opp to the Bus Stand at the end of the road, when you go from Anna Salai.
This place typically serves Tiffin items in the morning, Biryani and Meals in the afternoon, Tiffin items and Fried Rice stuff (Indo-Chennai-Chinese) at night. We were five of us, decided to check out this place. We have eaten in many such Night Kadais / Fast Foods / Hotels, so it was a similar kinda experience. I liked what I ate, we tasted a bit of quite a few things – Chicken lollipop (not the Wang’s Kitchen saucy types) it was dry and good, Parotta, Kothu Parotta, Omelette, Full Boil, Half Boil, Mutta Dosai, Chicken Fried Rice, all were decent. Liked the chicken gravy.
Nothing to complain overall, very decent food and along with friends, it was enjoyable.
