This is one of those places that insists on a dress code for the evening. I’ve heard people say they aren’t very particular about it for lunch. Myself and a friend decided to drop in for a couple of drinks, i.e couple of drinks for me and a mocktail for him 😉 and a very light dinner and we decided to check this place out.

As we entered, I was sternly told that I need shoes as I wasn’t wearing one! 😉 They let me in and told me next time I should be wearing shoes, fair enough! Since they are a resto lounge, they have a dress code. I’ve never been able to correlate what a drink has to do with shoes 😉 Anyway could be many things – selective filtering of unwanted crowd, safety on the dance floor (if at all there is one), or just a mere rule to stand out from the rest.

As we entered, the place was pretty packed. just a very few tables were vacant. Lot of young crowd having a good time. By saying this, I don’t mean to sound very old 😛 Just saying that the place was very happening and it was a very decent crowd. Ordered a couple of drinks, a mocktail and starters.

Thai Chilli Chicken was tasty, we liked the nice flavor and the punch from green chillies. Madras Grilled Chicken was also decent taste-wise, but not sure what was so Madrasi about it. It felt like Chicken Satay, and was nowhere close to local flavors. The DJ was spinning some nice peppy numbers and then we proceeded to order a Chicken Fried Rice and that was good too. No complaints with food or service. I would say it is a fairly decent place with good food and drinks !

Kevin waited on our table and he was pretty good at his job!

3 drinks, a mocktail and the food mentioned above set me back by about 2K. Fairly decent pricing for a nice happening place!

Would certainly visit again, with shoes this time! I sincerely hope they don’t bring in the Stag bullshit anytime soon!
